A stainless vessel for holding honey between extraction and bottling. At 13.2 gallons it takes about 158 lb, which for most small operations is the whole crop in one container instead of spread across a dozen pails that each need lifting, labelling and shelf space.
Honey keeps well in it: the stainless lid covers the crop against dust, and 304 steel does not taint what it holds the way some plastics can. It settles the crop at the same time: anything that came off the extractor with the honey, air and wax flecks mostly, rises to the top over a day or two, and the gate at the base draws clear honey from underneath. A double filter sits on the rim to strain it on the way in.
