Starter Strips

Starter strips (also sometimes referred to as "comb guides") are thin pieces of wood that slots into the groove in the underside of the top bar of beehive frames. They are predominantly used for beekeepers practicing "foundation-less" beekeeping or for comb honey production. The idea being the bees use the strip of wood as a guide when starting to draw the honeycomb to help them build down straight.
