These one piece plastic frames are a single piece of molded plastic which includes the plastic frame and deep foundation.

There are many benefits of using plastic foundation and frames over the tradition wax including:

• they are very durable and less likely to be damaged when scrapping with a hive tool
• because it can be used over and over it is more cost effective
• wax moth and mice can not destroy it
• the black color make spotting eggs easier for your hive inspection
• can be stored at any temperature
• no blow out when extracting the honey
• there is no need to spend hours building, wiring and waxing like you do with regular wooden frames as these durable plastic frames come ready to use.

The frames and foundation are made from food grade plastic and are super durable. They can be used multiple times saving you time and money.

Overall height of the individual frame is 9 1/8".

For best results we recommend to coat with a thin layer of melted beeswax on the surface prior to putting them in the hive.
