Bulk Gum Rosin Chunks (Colophony, Pine Resin)

Gum rosin is the tack in a wax dip. Blended with paraffin at roughly three parts wax to one part rosin, it gives the dip enough grip to bond into the timber instead of flaking off the first cold morning.

Away from the apiary it does the same job anywhere stickiness matters, beeswax cloth wraps included, where a little rosin is what makes a wrap cling to itself. Supplied as raw chunks that melt down with the wax rather than needing separate handling.
