SHALLOW Size Unassembled Pine Frames - Grooved Top and Bottom Bars

The Shallow sized langstroth frames (5 3/8") are made from pine and feature a solid 1/2" (0.51 in (13mm)) grooved bottom bar, which makes them suitable for either wax or plastic foundation. The side bars also feature 2 pre-drilled holes to allow for wiring of frames if required.

Shallow sizes frames and supers are approximately 40% smaller than the more commonly used Deep size and are for this reason much easier on the back. They are also commonly used to make cut comb honey.
